Short Biography:

I was born on march 24, 1962 and raised in Suriname, a country on the north coast of South America with less than half a million inhabitants. I am married to Martha and have three kids.
After high school I attended the local Police Academy and spent the five years following the academy as a police superintendant, most of which I spent as chief of the Forensics department.
I went to the Netherlands in 1990 and joined the part-time curriculum of the Computer Science department of the University of Leiden in 1993.
Currently I am employed at the Academic Medical Center of the University of Amsterdam as a Unix system administrator.
